Job Summary

The Clinical Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our substance abuse treatment facility. This role requires ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements, program development, financial management, accreditation standards, program marketing, staff recruitment and supervision, policy development, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor clinical staff activities to ensure adherence to the clinical model.
  • Provide regular supervision and performance reviews for clinical staff.
  • Audit charts for timeliness and quality of progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and summaries.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer to develop and deliver effective treatment programs.
  • Collect and analyze data, track KPIs, and provide written and verbal reports as requested.
  • Work with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and BHT Supervisor to deliver excellent client care.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interview process for clinical staff.
  • Complete performance appraisals for clinical staff on an annual basis.
  • Provide staff development and training opportunities and monitor compliance of staff credentialing.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all Joint Commission standards that impact clinical programming and staffing.
  • Network with other organizations to increase the referral base and develop relationships with local clinical leaders.
  • Lead Flash and MDT meetings and evaluate the quality of program on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health related field.
  • Professional clinical license (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent).
  • Working towards drug and alcohol certification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the SUD field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.
  • Drug and alcohol certification through state board (CADC, CAADC, ADC, AADC or equivalent) strongly preferred.
