Work Schedule: This position offers a part-time schedule of 30 hours per week, structured around three 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon in a professional capacity, under the supervision of the circulating registered nurse.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques during all phases of surgical preparation and execution.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Follow established protocols for the decontamination of surgical instruments and the turnover of the operating room.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technician is mandatory.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred candidates will have at least one year of relevant experience in an operating room setting.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Membership in a surgical specialty society is encouraged.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of care.
