Compensation: $24.00/hour (full-time, non-exempt)
Work Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Position Summary:
As an Aerospace Component Trimmer, you will engage in various techniques to handle composite materials as part of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trim and deburr manufactured components utilizing pneumatic power tools
- Maintain proper care and upkeep of tools and materials
- Foster a safe working environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Capability to identify defective materials and components
- Technologically savvy with a willingness to learn new systems
Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience related to manufacturing duties is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Employees may encounter the following conditions while performing typical job duties. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to safeguard against workplace hazards.
- Primarily indoor work, which may not be temperature controlled
- Exposure to elevated noise levels
- Interaction with hazardous equipment
- Contact with various contaminants
- Shared workspaces with colleagues
- Ability to handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
- Standing and/or walking for extended periods (8 to 12 hours or more, depending on role and shift)
Required PPE:
PPE is provided based on the employee's role and exposure. Typical PPE used on the production floor includes:
- Ear Protection
- Full Face Shields
- Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant)
- Protective Aprons
- Respirators
- Safety Glasses and Goggles
