Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laminator Technician to join our team at SEKISUI Aerospace, Inc. This role involves performing various techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and SWI instructions.
  • Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
  • Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
  • Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
  • Acute attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of process specifications, math skills, and basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in composite manufacturing a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment.
  • Exposure to contaminants.
  • Shared workspaces with other employees.
  • Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).

  • Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses
  • Safety Goggles
