Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at HRM Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the good condition and functionality of our affordable housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance and installation of systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, and changing furnace filters
  • Assist in setting up systems and conducting repairs as needed, maintaining heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when necessary
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary, including fixing locks and replacing windows
  • Willing to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial, inspections, landscaping, and snow removal
  • Ability to lift up to 90lbs and stand for up to 8 hours

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Basic technology skills (smartphone/computer)
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field a plus
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired
