Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange meetings and engage with high net worth individuals to assess their lifestyle, concerns, and distinct insurance requirements, providing tailored consultative advice for personal risk management solutions.
  • Meet annual new business sales targets aligned with our target demographic.
  • To achieve revenue objectives, the consultant will need to compile lists of potential centers of influence and lead sources within the target market.
  • Effectively penetrate designated prospect targets using the Engagement Platform process with potential business partners, including legal professionals, financial advisors, real estate agents, and others serving the affluent market.
  • Exhibit the ability to identify and navigate sales challenges on a case-by-case basis.
  • Successfully formulate and implement sales and marketing strategies, along with regular communications to enhance USI's market presence.
  • The Wealth Risk Management Consultant will engage with external centers of influence to prospect, connect, and ultimately provide value-added services to their clients.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships and gain the trust of Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits production teams.
  • Establish a reputation as a trusted advisor and partner to clients and prospects.
  • Develop and support cross-selling initiatives for both existing and new client relationships.
  • Participate in and, when necessary, lead meetings with current and prospective clients.
  • Manage client and prospect data, including creating prospect lists from business clients and maintaining activity records in USI's CRM and sales tracking systems.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals for Personal Risk Management clients and prospects, conduct research, assist in drafting responses, and present customized insurance programs to potential clients.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, including some evening hours.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in High Net Worth or personal insurance sales or service.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the personal lines insurance sector is essential.
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time for client meetings.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Highly driven, goal-oriented, and organized individual focused on achieving personal sales objectives.
  • Excellent customer service skills applicable to the sales process.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance carriers and the personal insurance marketplace.
  • Commitment to the mutual goals of the Personal Insurance Practice and Regional Office.
  • A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An active property-casualty license is required (or must be obtained within 60 days of employment).
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite is necessary.
