Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for the microscopic examination and evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens for the diagnosis of malignant and pre-malignant conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological specimens using microscopic techniques
  • Diagnose malignant and pre-malignant conditions based on specimen examination and evaluation
  • Assist with fine needle aspiration collection and NGYN and FNA screening
  • Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to maintain expertise
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily workload
Requirements
  • Completion of a cytotechnology program from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) school
  • ASCP certification or eligibility required
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain 90% proficiency on internal proficiency tests and 80% proficiency on quarterly GYN CAP mailings
