Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for the microscopic examination and evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens to diagnose malignant and pre-malignant conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological specimens using microscopic techniques
  • Diagnose malignant and pre-malignant conditions based on specimen examination and evaluation
  • Assist with fine needle aspiration collection and NGYN and FNA screening
  • Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to maintain certification
  • Keep daily workload records in accordance with CLIA '88
Requirements
  • Completion of a cytotechnology program from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) school
  • ASCP certification or eligibility required
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Additional related education and/or experience
