Key Responsibilities- Receive and prioritize repair orders from our dispatcher, ensuring timely completion of work.
- Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance work, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate effectively with our parts department to obtain necessary parts and inform our service advisor of any issues.
- Examine vehicles to identify additional safety or service work required and inform our service advisor accordingly.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions, documenting all work performed on the repair order.
- Road test vehicles to ensure quality work and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Monitor the status of each vehicle and inform our shop foreman or team leader of any issues or delays.
- Ensure customer vehicles are returned in a clean and satisfactory condition.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certification preferred.
- Proficient mechanical skills and at least 2 years of automotive experience.
- Ability to collaborate with the public and other dealership personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems.
- Valid in-state driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professional personal appearance and conduct.
