Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team as our first full-time engineering hire outside of leadership. The ideal candidate will be a growth-oriented and dedicated individual who is passionate about our mission to provide innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test innovative mechatronic systems and solutions, ensuring they meet design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance product design and functionality.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability and quality of materials and components.
  • Collaborate with our contract manufacturer to maintain our production and refurbishment processes, as well as identify and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality output.
  • Oversee and enhance our quality assurance processes to ensure all systems comply with industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide timely, first-rate technical support to customers in real-time, addressing their questions and resolving issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers, offering innovative, effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM discipline. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 3-7 years of related engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience in providing technical leadership and support.
  • Experience with designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting mechatronic systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) to design complex assemblies and produce professional drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Experience with electronic circuit design and simulation software (e.g. Altium).
  • Programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, and Javascript.
