Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Operations Lead to oversee our new commercial construction projects in the Midwest. Stevens Construction Corp. is a commercial general contractor with self-performed trades of concrete, carpentry, and prefabricated walls.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Project Superintendent from a general contractor or construction management firm, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all construction personnel and subcontractors onsite to ensure work is completed accurately, safely and to our quality standards.
  • Develop, update and track performance of construction schedules.
  • Maintain all jobsite paperwork: daily logs, delivery tickets, field work orders, timecards, plans, specs and shop drawings, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project photos.
  • Manage and schedule punch list work with owner, architect, and subcontractors.
  • Enforce all jobsite safety requirements.
  • Create a positive, professional, friendly environment onsite.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite.
Requirements
  • 15+ years' experience as a commercial new construction Project Superintendent from a general contractor or construction management firm.
  • Multiple multi-unit, new construction projects from start to finish as the overall jobsite Superintendent.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and edit construction schematics and documents electronically.
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Suites and other project scheduling software.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.
