Position Title: EHS Substitute

Reports to: Director

Pay Range: $60 a day

Length of Days: On Call As Needed

To succeed in this role, you must be able to provide a nurturing and responsive learning environment that promotes respectful interactions with families, children, volunteers, and staff at Early Head Start.

Key Responsibilities:

* Implement and support lesson plans that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers, while respecting parental and cultural influences.

* Provide childcare and support during parent involvement activities.

* Assist with data entry, kitchen duties, reception duties, handling donations, or other clerical tasks.

* In the absence of a regular Early Head Start Teacher, perform the duties of a regular Early Head Start teacher during classroom hours.

* Ensure children are supervised at all times and report any suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with Georgia statute.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for job-related travel.

* Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

* Successful background check and initial health screening.
