Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Clinician Educator in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery to join our team at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be an expert in the field of laryngology and esophagology with a focus on voice, swallowing, and airway disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching responsibilities may include medical student and resident education, with a focus on developing and implementing curriculum in laryngology and esophagology.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with laryngopharyngeal pathologies, with a focus on expanding the existing Penn Voice and Swallowing Center.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing a clinical and translational research program in laryngology and esophagology, with a focus on advancing the field and improving patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and be fellowship trained in the field of laryngology and esophagology.
  • Board certification or board eligibility is required.
  • Applicants should have an established record of scholarship activity and/or research programs related to laryngology and esophagology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical education and curriculum development.
  • Experience in clinical research and program development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
