Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent is a key member of our team at SERVPRO of South Lubbock/Southwest Lubbock, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. This role requires a high level of expertise in project management, customer service, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction
    • Compile and resolve punch list items to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Perform final walk-throughs with customers to ensure quality workmanship.
    • Secure signed completion certificates from customers.
  • Project Communication
    • Conduct pre-construction meetings with customers to discuss project scope and expectations.
    • Estimate projects using Xactimate software.
    • Provide regular project updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Construction Management
    • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers.
    • Ensure all work performed meets project specifications, local codes, and scope of work requirements.
    • Document project activities and progress in the job file.
    • Execute change orders as necessary.
  • Subcontractor/Resource Provider Management
    • Set clear expectations with subcontractors and resource providers.
    • Maintain quality standards through regular site inspections.
    • Evaluate and rate subcontractors and resource providers.
    • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Cost Control and Schedule Adherence
    • Ensure material suppliers deliver accurate materials.
    • Verify subcontractors complete work according to purchase orders.
    • Validate project schedule and progress.
    • Identify areas outside of contracted scope of work.
  • General
    • Familiarize yourself with and execute all roles and responsibilities of the Construction Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Necessary Experience and Skill Set
    • Proven track record of excellent customer service.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred.
    • Knowledge of Xactimate software.
  • Formal Education/Training
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical and Work Environment Requirements
    • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
    • Frequent driving and sitting.
    • Occasional climbing of ladders.
    • Exposure to extreme temperatures and loud work environments.
  • Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
    • Full-time position, working 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week.
    • Frequent long hours, on-call, and weekend work.
    • Local travel required, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel.
