Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Shift Manager to join our team at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing front desk operations, and supervising staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Register guests, assign rooms, and provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage front desk operations, including checking guests in and out, handling guest inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise front desk staff, provide guidance and training, and ensure that staff are meeting performance expectations.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and maintain reports, balance room charges, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1-2 years of experience in hotel operations preferred.
  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations, including discounts, interest, and commissions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The work environment is a smoke-filled casino with a loud noise level. The physical demands of the job include sitting, standing, walking, and moving through all areas of the casino, with occasional lifting and pushing/pulling of up to 25 pounds.
