Pediatric Intensive Care Travel Nurse

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role involves working with a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to young adults, who require specialized medical attention.
Certification Requirements- Must possess a valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or a compact license from the state of permanent residence.
- BLS certification is required, and it must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification is also necessary and should be through the American Heart Association.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with various medical and surgical conditions.
- Manage cases involving acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multisystem organ failure, and ECMO.
- A minimum of two years of pediatric ICU experience is required.
- Must have completed at least two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or a similar facility is essential.
- Completion of a 13-week travel assignment is mandatory.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience is required.
- Must pass the UW Health Telemetry test prior to starting.
- Travelers may float to different units, particularly those caring for children up to one year of age, based on competency and experience.
- Shifts may be reassigned to other units if the primary unit's needs change during the assignment.
American Family Children's Hospital is transitioning to modern file formats for documentation. Profiles must be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx formats.
