Preferred Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in general mechanical and structural repairs (such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, landscaping, etc., or a comparable combination of education and experience).
  • Basic computer skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work a standard eight-hour shift five days a week, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Overtime may be necessary.
  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of buildings and grounds as assigned.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of floors using various techniques to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in bathrooms, showers, and washing areas to meet regulatory standards, including the upkeep of floors, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Efficiently collect and dispose of waste materials, ensuring proper storage and sanitation of waste areas.
  • Regularly check and replenish supplies such as hand towels, toilet paper, and soap in restrooms.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
  • Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in daily tasks.
  • Assist the maintenance supervisor with in-house repairs that do not require external contractors, such as changing filters, motors, and performing snow removal.
  • Report any maintenance needs regarding floors, walls, fixtures, and equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate actively as a member of the Maintenance Team in meetings and collaborative activities.

Position Objective:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is primarily responsible for the upkeep of building interiors, fixtures, common areas, and the exterior property, ensuring compliance with all relevant licensing, accreditation, local and state building codes, and organizational standards.

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Monday – Friday, with on-call availability for emergencies.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel between various locations as needed.
