Your Impact as a Security Operations Specialist
- Conduct classification reviews of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining a document accountability database and related correspondence.
- Manage the processing of classified mail and maintain receipt records.
- Oversee the destruction of classified materials.
- Ensure accountability for magnetic media processing.
- Provide reproduction support for classified documents.
- Maintain daily logs for various administrative functions related to document control.
- Facilitate the processing of inbound data and outbound data transfer files.
- Transfer electronic data files to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of customer point of contact listings.
- Assist in researching, processing, filing, and maintaining visit notices.
- Escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs.
- Support the preparation of facility access control badges.
- Conduct entry and exit inspections.
- Assist in maintaining facility access control systems, including visitor management.
- Perform data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and maintain customer-sponsored billets and quota information.
- Support the maintenance of personnel security files for all personnel within the supported element.
- Adhere to and enforce the organization's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Contribute to security awareness and education programs.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support tasks as directed by the site lead or Senior Security Representative.
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with government personnel to facilitate appropriate clearance actions.
- Participate in security compliance inspections of government organizations and industry.
- Implement Top Secret Control for accountable materials and related correspondence.
- Prepare and process classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
- Review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility.
- Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
- Conduct reviews of candidates for SAP access using various security databases.
- Perform data entry and record checks in the Air Force Access Data System (AFADS) and keep personnel access information current.
- Conduct indoctrinations.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.
- Familiarity with security policies/manuals and relevant DCIDs/JAFANs.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Demonstrated originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Special Access Programs (SAP) is required.
- Completion of DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions).
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
