Senior Director of In Vivo Pharmacology

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of In Vivo Pharmacology to lead our research group in preclinical program development across in vivo pharmacology, supporting programs to successful IND application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage in vivo pharmacology programs, overseeing design, implementation, target validation, and translational biology
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and oversee activities and CROs, fostering effective partnerships
- Conduct independent research to improve in vivo research methods and technologies, presenting findings to leadership regarding strategy for pharmacology
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Genetics, Biochemistry, Immunology, and a minimum of 15 years of industry experience in leading in vivo pharmacology studies
- Experience in leading non-GLP and GLP studies, with 10 years managing teams, preferably in the gene therapy field
- Track record of getting programs through IND filing
This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing gene therapy startup in South San Francisco, developing innovative approaches to treat unmet medical needs.
