Job Summary:
Piedmont Columbus Midtown seeks a skilled Wound Care Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients with acute and/or chronic wounds, ostomy management, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify wound care needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan, and perform patient assessments and treatments.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on wound care and management.
- Develop and implement wound care protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care services and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school in the field of Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
- Two years of clinical experience in wound care and management.
- BLS certification through AHA with current licensure in the State of Georgia as a Physical Therapist, Registered Nurse, or Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum Bachelors degree preferred.
- Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
