POSITION SUMMARY:

The Practical Nurse II will deliver direct and personalized nursing care to a designated group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider. The Practical Nurse II will monitor, document, and report medical information and nursing interventions in the electronic health record. Additionally, the Practical Nurse II will educate patients and their families in accordance with established teaching plans. Effective communication with the healthcare team is essential to ensure the coordination of tailored patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess a current license to practice as a practical nurse in the state of employment or hold a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact, or be eligible for licensure in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed practical nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to the completion of orientation.
