As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer at CBRE, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational integrity of our buildings and systems. Your responsibilities will encompass both preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across various facilities and equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. **Maintenance Oversight**: Supervise the upkeep and repair of mechanical, plumbing, structural, and life safety systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
2. **Work Order Management**: Assess assigned work orders, estimating the necessary time and materials for completion while maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies.
3. **Preventive Maintenance Implementation**: Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies to extend the life of building systems and machinery, overseeing emergency repairs as required.
4. **System Inspections**: Conduct thorough inspections of building systems, including HVAC and fire alarms, ensuring they operate within design specifications and meet client expectations.
5. **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
6. **Vehicle Operation**: Utilize company vehicles responsibly to fulfill daily operational duties.
7. **Knowledge Sharing**: Mentor and guide team members, sharing expertise in various disciplines to foster a collaborative work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Experience in commercial HVAC and facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and lighting maintenance.
- A high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
CERTIFICATIONS
Applicants should hold Universal CFC certification and at least two additional certifications in areas such as Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
