Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, movement, and maintenance of a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply one or more craft skills, including mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, and machining, to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and systems, including motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, PLCs, HDMI screens, temperature controls, production machinery, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Install new machinery and equipment and move machinery and equipment to affect layout changes as required, including operations such as rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and making necessary hook-ups.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, including dismantling, re-assembling, and critical adjustment, lubrication, and/or calibration.
  • Read and maintain accessible blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and other documentation.
  • Track and record work history and maintain inventory on a daily basis using a computerized maintenance system.
  • Recommend improvements and upgrades to improve equipment operation.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance field or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in industrial machine repair.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, reaching, squatting, stooping, walking, and standing.
  • Familiar with programming, PLCs, VFDs, HDMI screens, and temperature controllers.
  • Must be familiar with wiring of AC and DC drives, motor and control circuits.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, leading mechanical rebuilds of production machinery, and knowledge of NEC regulations.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all departments.
  • Self-starter, able to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Experience with Extrusion, roll former, shear, or powder paint is a plus.
Work Environment

The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and quality. The successful candidate will be required to work extended hours and on weekends as needed.
