- Perform various clinical tasks, including EKGs, injections, and venipuncture, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
- Reconcile medication lists and maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Respond promptly and professionally to tasks and requests from healthcare staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized exam environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., CMA, CCMA, or RMA) is mandatory.
- Medical Assisting degree or experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant, or documented evidence of an externship completed in a medical office, is preferred.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
