Discover a New Lane in Therapy

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients who have lost mobility, strength, and functionality due to an illness or injury. You'll work as part of a home health team, collaborating with a RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, OT, and SLP to provide personalized care and achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide home-based physical therapy to patients, observing movements, conducting assessments, and documenting progress.
  • Assist patients with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain and increase mobility.
  • Educate patients on their plan of care, established goals, exercises, and self-care.
  • Coach family members on the plan of care, therapy goals, and safely assisting with exercises.
Requirements:
  • Active PTA license in Maine.
  • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, ideally in home healthcare.
  • CPR certification.
  • Up-to-date on all State of Maine Required vaccinations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, dexterity, and compassion.
