Project Engineer Job Description

Sterling Industrial, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Construction Engineering function, you will be responsible for planning and executing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
  • Review and understand contracts, managing changes and other contract issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget
  • Provide oversight of construction design, specifications, planning, and recommending actions
  • Coordinate project activities with Sterling personnel and joint venture partners
  • Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project, including safety, performance, budget, scheduling, and quality
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering or foreign degree equivalent, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the construction industry
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering or foreign degree equivalent, plus 3 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Experience must include planning and overseeing construction of heavy industrial projects, estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor, and working with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD
