Position Overview: Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners, LC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Compliance and Asset Management Specialist. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on financial oversight and compliance within our investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management Support: Review and analyze financial statements and compliance reports from borrowers and partners as stipulated in loan agreements.
  • Evaluate borrower financial data to identify potential risks related to loan defaults and compliance with the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in loan servicing and distributions to members.
  • Conduct reviews of post-closing disbursements of Qualified Low-Income Community Investments (QLICI) funds.
  • Maintain and update financial models to reflect current portfolio performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on loan performance and compliance for management review.
  • Collect and analyze community impact reports, ensuring accurate validation and presentation to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate necessary reporting to investors, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, banks, and investors.

Compliance Support:

  • Monitor compliance with Community Development Entity (CDE) status and board representation requirements.
  • Assist with reporting obligations to the CDFI Fund, including tracking Qualified Equity Investments (QEI) and compliance with Allocation Agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to IRS regulations related to CDE compliance, including testing and redemption processes.

Transaction Support:

  • Evaluate potential NMTC investments for alignment with program requirements and community impact.
  • Support the closing process for new investments and facilitate the onboarding of these investments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in lending, compliance, or financial analysis, with direct experience in NMTCs being essential.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial statements; familiarity with legal documents is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
