Job Title

Nexus seeks a highly skilled Senior Protocol Engineer to join our core engineering team. As a critical member of our infrastructure development team, you will design, develop, and implement robust and secure protocols that form the backbone of our decentralized platform.

Your expertise in distributed systems and cryptography will be instrumental in building a scalable and reliable infrastructure for the future of verifiable computing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and document efficient and secure protocols for distributed systems.
  2. Implement and test protocols using suitable programming languages and frameworks.
  3. Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize protocols for scalability and reliability.
  4. Seamlessly integrate developed protocols with existing infrastructure components.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic primitives.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of progressive experience focusing on distributed systems and protocol design.
  2. Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field; PhD preferred.
  3. In-depth understanding of cryptographic concepts and their application in secure communication protocols.
  4. Extensive knowledge of common algorithms, data structures, and their computational/memory complexities.
  5. Experience implementing data structures and algorithms from scratch.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year.
