Salary: $67,000-$72,000 per year

Job Description:

The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering information systems in various IT functional areas. This role manages the setup, management, and troubleshooting of technology systems. The IT Infrastructure Specialist responds to onsite hardware problems, updates system software, and tracks data and communications used on the network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring consistent data backups to protect company data in case of system failures.
  • Overseeing the proper functioning of the information processing system and necessary upgrades.
  • Helping business operations groups utilize information systems to improve efficiency.
  • Updating computer equipment, hardware, and software to meet organizational needs.
  • Maintaining and updating IT procedures and documentation related to processes and platforms.
  • Managing resources and processes required to implement and support information products and services.
  • Participating in developing and implementing IT systems for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Operating systems to support company operations and services in an efficient manner and modifying infrastructure as needed.
  • Providing hands-on network management, including wide area, local area, and remote access capabilities.
  • Assisting in implementing security measures.
  • Providing technical support to staff and troubleshooting system problems.
  • Installing and updating company software and hardware as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in administration of business and engineering computer systems.
  • One or more years of experience in an IT-related job environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in and enthusiasm for the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology as well as system administration, file interchange, shared network resources, Internet access, and electronic mail.
  • Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with LAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems (NT, LAN Server), network topologies and protocols (TCP/IP, SMB, NetBIOS), and Wide Area Networking.
  • Able to deal with and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in engineering and manufacturing environments is helpful.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with management and coworkers across departments.
  • Able to handle sensitive confidential information.
  • Able to multitask and handle multiple tasks and work demands with interruptions while staying on track.
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills Required:

  • Computer proficiency: all Windows operating systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
