Position Summary: The Caregiver role entails delivering supportive services to clients while prioritizing their dignity and privacy. Services may encompass companionship, assistance with daily activities, medication management, transportation, and other needs as outlined in the client's service plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled visits and tasks, potentially serving multiple clients across various locations.
  • Participate in mandatory orientation sessions, in-service training, and team meetings.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including documentation standards.
  • Ensure client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Deliver services as specified in the service plan, which may include companionship, assistance with daily living activities, medication support, or transportation.
  • Identify and report any safety concerns, changes in client condition, or complaints to the supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions effectively.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate competency in caregiving tasks.
  • If under 18, must be a high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational program, demonstrating competency in assigned tasks.
  • Prior experience in a caregiving role is preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work positively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Exhibit compassion, responsibility, and a positive demeanor.
  • Must not be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry or Employee Misconduct Registry for any findings related to client abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property.
