Field Service Engineer - Semiconductor Division

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Semiconductor division in Central New York. This role requires candidates to reside near Syracuse, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and escalate complex repairs to senior technicians as necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment malfunctions.
  • Document all maintenance activities and provide periodic reports.
  • Manage inventory levels of service parts and equipment to ensure timely repairs.
  • Train and assist technicians, as well as provide basic instruction to customers as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to enhance expertise.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience in electromechanical roles, such as a field service engineer or technician in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical engineering position.
  • Semiconductor experience is required, particularly in lithography and high-precision equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including compressed workweeks.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with company safety policies when driving for business purposes.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently; assistance is available for lifting over 30 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, walking, typing, grasping, and occasionally kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations and resolve issues quickly.
