About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As an Echo Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing echocardiography procedures and analyzing sonographic findings.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing echocardiography procedures, including stress echo testing, to provide comprehensive data for physicians to render a final diagnosis
  • Recognizing sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow, adjusting scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform
  • Working in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide the best medical care possible for all patients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Sonography program
  • Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/echo sonographer experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
