The Maintenance Technician, Level 1, plays a crucial role in maintaining the facility's operational integrity, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and staff.


Responsibilities:

Perform repairs on HVAC systems:
Change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
Conduct preventive maintenance on various equipment (including boilers, chillers, and electrical systems).
Take necessary readings on equipment.
Test cooling towers and document readings.
Replace and program televisions as required.
Change light switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures.
Carry out furniture repairs.
Replace and fix pumps.
Handle plumbing issues (such as clogged drains and pipe repairs).
Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Trace and repair water lines.
Troubleshoot and fix kitchen equipment.
Maintain records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
Paint designated areas.
Repair and finish drywall.
Fix various wall coverings.
Repair and program electronic lock systems.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with experience in a hospitality or related field.
At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
Trade school or college coursework in a related discipline is advantageous.
Flexibility and the ability to work long hours may be necessary.

This role involves heavy lifting, requiring the ability to exert over 100 pounds occasionally, and over 50 pounds frequently.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with employees and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
Ability to listen, understand, and address concerns raised by guests and staff is crucial.
Must be adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
Attendance at required meetings and training sessions is expected.

Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and nametag.

Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
Maximize productivity efforts, identify issues, and assist in implementing solutions.
Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, and resolving issues as necessary.
Ability to comprehend and apply complex information from various sources to achieve objectives.
Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
