Job Description

V2X is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Engineering Program, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with government and contractor engineers to perform facility engineering tasks
  • Provide professional engineering support for HVAC planning and design
  • Support equipment installation and maintenance for strategic, tactical, and mobile facilities
  • Conduct testing and balancing services for air and water systems
  • Review engineering design proposals and recommend improvements
  • Provide advice and guidance to government engineers on HVAC facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Utilize software and hardware tools to track load changes and parameters of design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Establish energy and heat load budgets to identify current deficiencies and anticipate future requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend methods of load control to reduce utility demand and costs
  • Prepare design concepts, program development brochures, and construction project documentation
  • Inspect construction projects and existing facilities to identify deficiencies and recommend changes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university with 8 years of diversified professional engineering experience
  • Application engineering experience with design, installation, operation, and maintenance of automatic control systems
  • Supervision of plant operations, maintenance, and repair of physical plant systems and equipment
  • Resident engineering experience on construction projects with large, complex, and highly sophisticated HVAC systems
  • Experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Professional registration preferred
  • Fluent in English, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams
  • US Citizen with final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
