Job Title: Security Engineer

At InterEx Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our security infrastructure to protect our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Maintain Security Infrastructure: Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard against threats, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Mitigate Vulnerabilities: Identify and address potential security risks to ensure the integrity of our systems and data.
  • Lead Incident Response and Collaborate on Resolutions: Develop and implement incident response plans to quickly respond to and resolve security breaches.
  • Perform Security Audits and Ensure Compliance: Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
  • Conduct Penetration Tests and Ethical Hacking: Perform regular penetration testing and ethical hacking to identify vulnerabilities and improve our security posture.
  • Develop and Deliver Security Awareness Training: Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and awareness.
  • Integrate Security into DevOps Pipelines: Develop and implement security practices into our DevOps pipelines to ensure security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop and Maintain Security Documentation: Create and maintain security policies, procedures, and reports on security incidents and risk mitigation measures.
  • Monitor Security Events and Anomalies: Use SIEM tools to monitor security events and anomalies in real-time and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Relevant Field: A degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience in Security Engineering: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security engineering, with a strong understanding of security protocols and practices.
  • Strong Knowledge of Security Tools and Protocols: A strong understanding of security tools and protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
  • Scripting/Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Cloud Security Knowledge: Experience with cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Security Certifications: A plus, but not required.

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-security standards.
