PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Senior Vice President of Enrollment Strategy will deliver strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for the Enrollment Management division, reporting directly to the President regarding the comprehensive development and enhancement of enrollment initiatives. This role is integral to both the Executive Leadership Team and the University Leadership Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of this position encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Act as the Chief Enrollment Officer for the institution.
  • Direct marketing and recruitment efforts alongside all operational aspects that facilitate the admissions process, including the hiring and supervision of admissions staff.
  • Establish and evaluate new student enrollment objectives in collaboration with admissions personnel and the University Leadership Team.
  • Work in partnership with financial aid staff, the business office, and the University Leadership Team to create a framework for financial assistance and discount rates.
  • Ensure effective management of enrollment management activities.
  • Oversee budgets allocated for admissions operations.
  • Implement and uphold the institution's admissions policies.
  • Adhere to institutional financial aid policies.
  • Gather and analyze enrollment and financial aid data.
  • Manage admissions data reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to conduct relevant market research to inform student recruitment strategies.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Public Relations Office to develop and execute a cohesive marketing strategy for the institution.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy that addresses the needs of diverse populations.
  • Exhibit innovative leadership in fostering a collaborative environment that effectively integrates all admissions sectors.
  • Encourage a culture within the institution where recruitment and retention are viewed as collective responsibilities.
  • Articulate the institution's mission to external stakeholders, including prospective students, parents, counselors, alumni, faculty, and staff.
  • Coordinate with Academic Affairs and Student Development to oversee retention initiatives and programs.
  • Serve as the administrative liaison to the Enrollment Management Committee of the Board of Trustees.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpret institutional policies for staff and enforce safety regulations. Comply with all established rules, policies, and procedures of the institution. Travel to various locations as required. Perform additional duties as assigned by the President.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS

This role includes supervisory responsibilities for employees within enrollment management, adhering to institutional policies and applicable laws. Supervisory functions encompass interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Possess a strong faith commitment and dedication to Christian values. Be a highly motivated individual with a professional demeanor. Have significant administrative experience in collegiate-level enrollment management. Exhibit the ability to engage audiences effectively and professionally. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Show effective time management capabilities for handling multiple tasks. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills with timely initiative. Hold a master's degree in higher education or a related field from a regionally accredited institution. Have a proven track record of inspiring and motivating others. Possess business acumen with an understanding of planning, budgeting, and institutional operations. Have experience in hiring, training, and developing personnel. Appreciate the principles of shared governance. Show a commitment to the institution's mission and the importance of Christian higher education.

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS

This position involves performing office-related tasks, which may include sitting, standing, walking, and carrying light items (e.g., books, displays, presentations).

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Performance will be assessed based on the ability to meet the outlined responsibilities and tasks effectively and timely, demonstrating self-motivation and achieving established goals while fostering cooperative relationships with all personnel and departments.
