Caregiver Assistant

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Resident Care Assistants/Home Health Aides at The Bristal Assisted Living. As a friendly and familiar face to our residents, you will provide hands-on care in a respectful and dignified manner, making a meaningful impact on their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity
- Escort residents to meals and recreational activities, fostering social connections and a sense of community
- Support residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
- Collaborate with the Wellness team to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents
- NY-Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification
- Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Previous experience working with the geriatric population, providing assistance with ADLs
- Basic understanding of dementia, patience, and professionalism in redirecting residents
- Ability to adapt to different personality types and situations in a positive manner
- Reliability, compassion, and a gentle demeanor are essential
