Job Opportunity at The Dog Retreat & Spa

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team at The Dog Retreat & Spa. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and grooming services to our canine clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathing and Grooming: Bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences.
  • Nail Trimming and Ear Cleaning: Trim nails and clean ears to ensure the health and well-being of our furry friends.
  • De-Matting and De-Tangling: Brush and de-tangle or remove matted fur to prevent discomfort and injury.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our dogs.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively and compassionately with our front desk staff, and/or owners to ensure a positive experience for all.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a dog groomer is required.
  • Comfort Level: Comfortable working with anxious animals and able to provide a calm and soothing environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure exceptional results and client satisfaction.
