Utilities Equipment Repairer

As a Utilities Equipment Repairer with the Army National Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing utilities equipment and special-purpose support systems. Your primary duties will include inspecting and repairing electric motors, electrical equipment, and special-purpose support systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing gasoline engine systems, air conditioner electrical systems, and portable heater fuel/electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems, air conditioner vapor systems, refrigeration unit electrical systems, portable heater fuel/electrical systems, fire extinguisher recharging systems, and fire extinguishers/valves
• Maintain and repair electrical products, including electric motors, generators, and transformers
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including circuit breakers, fuses, and electrical panels
• Perform routine maintenance on utilities equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently

Requirements
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see for details)
