Advanced Diesel Technician

True North Equipment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
  • Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge
  • Mentor Service Technician Trainees
  • Conduct or support customer clinics
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Account for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties
  • Maintain reliable attendance and work regular Service Department hours
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience performing service repairs
  • Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technician's specialty
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
  • Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
  • Advanced Diesel Service Technician education preferred
  • Must be able to retain positive relationships with co-workers
  • Valid driver's license required
Total Rewards Package:
  • $26-$40+/hr depending on years of experience, PLUS a sign on bonus of up to $5,000 for new hires
