As a key member of our treatment team, the Registered Dietitian will be responsible for overseeing the dietary component of our program, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized dietary meal plans for patients, taking into account their nutritional needs and health goals.
- Conduct weekly calorie counts and monitor patient progress, making adjustments to meal plans as needed.
- Facilitate nutrition groups and provide education to patients and families on healthy eating habits and nutrition.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, including medical, psychological, and nutritional aspects.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide emergency support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field and completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum one year of experience in dietary counseling or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field.
