Role Summary
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Imagery Analyst - Journeyman. The responsibilities of the Imagery Analyst encompass researching relevant databases for enhanced information, generating standard NGA imagery analysis products, and effectively collaborating with various organizations to improve collection, research, analysis, and production processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Possess an active Top-Secret/SCI security clearance at the time of application and be willing to undergo a CI polygraph examination if requested.
- Three to ten years of relevant experience, complemented by a High School diploma and specialized training.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field may account for up to 4 years of experience.
- A Master's degree in a related field may account for an additional 2 years of experience.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, GIS, geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
- Familiarity with software tools such as ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, IEC system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS Imagine, MRSID, and programming languages like VB/VBA for geospatial data analysis.
- Ability to comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs, utilizing GIS to create Geospatial Intelligence reports and products for problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Formal/Advanced Military IA Training (Tech School, Advanced Individual Training, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertise in soft copy and multi-spectral exploitation functionalities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of RemoteView, IEC, NES, and Microsoft Office.
- Conduct imagery analysis against targets using various platforms to locate, identify, characterize, and monitor strategic operational and tactical facilities.
- Perform Full Motion Video Analysis (FMV) as required.
- Research NES and related databases to produce standard and formalized imagery analysis products.
- Collaborate with other analysts in the Intelligence Community during collection, research, analysis, and product generation.
- Support the identification of technology gaps and assist in integrating new imagery-related technologies into operational environments.
- Ensure quality control on analytical products.
- Generate summary reports, detailed mission graphics, database remarks, ad-hoc reports, and daily briefings.
- Read, extract, and plot coordinates using various map and chart scales, projects, and datums.
- Create and manage metadata.
- Conduct multi-INT research to support imagery analysis.
- Develop shapefiles, geo-databases, and data retrieval/storage solutions for intelligence analysis.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while adapting to changing requirements.
- Experience with ESRI's Arc Suite, SocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, RemoteView, TerraExplorer/Builder, and CAD.
Work Environment
This position operates within a collaborative team setting and is conducted on-site.
