The Senior Child Care Compliance Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and regulatory adherence of child care facilities across Texas. This position involves conducting thorough investigations and inspections of unregulated child care operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth investigations of unregulated child care facilities.
  • Proactively identify unregulated operations and facilitate complex investigations.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to promote awareness and compliance.
  • Engage with state agency personnel, stakeholders, and the general public.

Essential Duties:

  • Initiate and oversee investigations of unregulated child care providers.
  • Monitor high-risk operations and assess new applications for compliance.
  • Prepare exemption requests and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Manage complaints, incidents, and emergency situations effectively.
  • Deliver training and technical support to child care service providers.
  • Gather and disseminate information regarding child care operations to the public.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in regulatory compliance with relevant laws and policies.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
