Nurse Resident I

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Resident I to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and develop your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provides direct nursing care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, implementing and monitoring patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitors and records patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Evaluates and updates patient care plans, revising as needed to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care and effective communication among team members.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments, following approved nursing protocols and guidelines.
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Provides education and support to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Proof of ACLS certification through the AHA, with PALS or NRP certification required for specific units.
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience, with experience in a hospital setting preferred.
