Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist IV to join our team as an Associate Medical Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical leadership and direction to our mental health services, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of adult and child patients
  • Develop and implement individualized mental health treatment plans
  • Provide competent psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments
  • Supervise and train Psychiatrists I, II, and III
  • Participate in state-level committees and policy development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completion of a residency in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
  • Possession of a valid Physician and Surgeon's certificate issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
  • Valid Drug Enforcement Administration certificate
  • One year of full-time experience as a full-scope supervisor or two years of full-time experience working in a lead capacity in a public or private behavioral health or healthcare organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Diplomate by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Experience working with the seriously mentally ill, eating disorders, under-served populations, and with children and adolescents
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
