About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist IV to join our team. As a Psychiatrist IV, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning for adult and child patients. You will also supervise and train junior staff members, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of adult and child patients
- Develop and implement individualized mental health treatment plans
- Provide competent psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments
- Supervise and train junior staff members
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to policy development
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- Completion of a residency in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
- Possession of a valid Physician's and Surgeon's certificate issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
- Possession of a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
- One year of full-time experience as a full-scope supervisor or two years of full-time experience working in a lead capacity in a public or private behavioral health or healthcare organization
- Certification as a Diplomate by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Experience working with the seriously mentally ill, eating disorders, under-served populations, and with children and adolescents
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment teams
