Surgical Technologist II

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the delivery of individualized peri-operative care under the supervision of a licensed physician or registered nurse.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring the team adheres to strict protocols.
- Participate in surgical counts, adhering to policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and patient safety goals.
- Participate in unit educational activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program and current certification as a certified surgical technologist.
- LPN licensure required for grandfathered employees.
- Obtain and/or maintain registration with the VA Dept of Health Professions.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
