Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team at the Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise. As a Prep Cook, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality food products are prepared and presented to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare orders according to standard recipes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all culinary equipment before and after use, and maintain a clean and sanitary area at all times in accordance with State Health Regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain the proper inventory of work stations while controlling unnecessary waste.
  • Communication: Work and communicate with other Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Kitchen Workers, Food Servers, and other culinary staff as necessary.
  • Problem-Solving: Inform management of any problems or issues encountered during assigned shifts.
Requirements
  • Age and Gaming: 18 years of age or above, and able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
  • Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred, with four months of previous experience in food operations/preparation.
  • Serv-Safe Certification: Must be Serv-Safe certified or become certified within thirty days of employment.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with moderate to heavy physical demands. The noise level is usually moderate, but may increase to loud when on the casino floor. Associates must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
