Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at DCH Health System. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Exams: Conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams as ordered by radiologists, utilizing advanced equipment and technology to produce high-quality images.
- Correlate Clinical History with Test: Correlate patient clinical history with the test to be performed, ensuring accurate and effective diagnostic results.
- Maintain CEUs and Certifications: Maintain required CEUs and certifications, such as ARDMS, to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Provide Clinical Instruction: Provide clinical instruction and training to ultrasound students and other healthcare professionals, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Provide Imaging Services: Provide imaging services to patients of all ages, utilizing knowledge of the PACS system to ensure efficient and effective care.
- Maintain Accreditation: Perform duties necessary to maintain accreditation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide Safe Radiology Services: Provide safe radiology services to patients, staff, and colleagues, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Respond to Communication: Respond timely to all forms of communication, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Provide Patient Support: Provide assistance and support to patients and their families, promoting a positive and compassionate care experience.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Take responsibility for the care, cleaning, and maintenance of transport equipment and supplies, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
- Registered by ARDMS: Be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- BLS Certification: Hold BLS certification.
- Previous Experience: Have previous experience in diagnostic medical sonography or a related field.
- Working Knowledge: Possess a working knowledge of ultrasound equipment, NIV equipment, and accessories, as well as patient procedural and patient care items.
- English Language Skills: Be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
