Job Title:

Distribution Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role:

This is a support position within the Supply Chain Management department at Upstate University Hospital. The individual will be responsible for managing and controlling inventories in the Distribution department, ensuring accurate records and timely replenishment of supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all aspects of Central Distribution's inventories for UH and CH
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze inventory reports and order patterns to adjust Reorder Point/PAR levels
  • Identify and optimize common inventory items to reduce SKUs with Value Analysis
  • Coordinate emergent orders with Hospital Purchasing buyers
  • Manage expiring products
  • SUPPORT process improvement activities within Supply Chain
  • Communicate with department managers on inventory availability and issues
  • Maintain/Establish metrics around processes to measure improvements
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in inventory control/management
  • Excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook and Excel)
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year based on industry standards and job requirements.
